Hi – I’m Emily. I’m 18 and I live in North Wales.

I love live music and try to get to as many gigs as possible, I like a variety of music, from djs to world music. Anything I can have a good dance too!

I think its really important to be able to sustain our planet, we have fun here don’t we?! So why can’t we have fun in a caring way too! If we don’t start doing something about climate change soon it will simply be too late! No one says we can’t have any fun, we just have to find an alternative route to having fun. Like catching the bus into town on a night out instead of driving…

It will be great if the C-Change project raises awareness and gets some really positive feedback off young people!

Hi my name is George Brooke, I'm on the C-Change steering committee. I'm 16 and I think that it is very important that young people get to know about climate change, well, because the adults screwed it up. Actually it's us that will have to make the difference, or clean up the mess. Where I live, a small town called Brightlingsea, is at risk from climate change because it is so close to sea level. I'd like to see the C-Change project remind young people that we have a voice and that we can make a difference. I enjoy the practical side of fighting climate change, messing about with solar panels and wind turbines.

I’m Gloria, I’m 14 and I come from Newcastle upon Tyne.

I’m into any music, specially Bob Dylan, led Zep and the Beatles at the mo. I like to read, sing, be with my friends, go on holiday by train. It’s all good.

Why am I concerned about climate change? Not sure really…I kinda feel it shows disrespect for people, especially the poorest people - the innocent ones - and for our planet. It’s important.
Something needs to be done and everyone is part of it. We have to at least try and make the world a better place.

I hope C-Change will make someone (anyone!) change their mind about climate change.

I'm Kat, 19, and living in Brighton at the moment.

I'm doing Ecology and Conservation at uni, so climate change is a very imporant issue to me. It can be scary thinking of what could happen...but we won't let it, will we?

I always think it's strange when people ask me why I care about climate change, because why wouldn't I? The effects are already around for us to see, whether it's the increase of "freak" storms or the introduction of new species (such as the poisonous False Widow spider which, factfans, is now found in Britain). It's something that's happening now, and if we don't tackle it then who will?

The reason I wanted to work on C-Change was because it's something that isn't scare-mongering about what might happen, it's celebrating the fact that we can do something about it. And everybody likes a celebration!

Climate change is something that everyone needs to be talking about, but to me it is particularly important because the way that we face up to it will define my generation. C-change is for people who, like me, are at that stage in their life of asking, “what kind of world do I want to live in?” Taking action on climate change is about our society having the strength to decide what is important to us, everybody owning a car? Is that important, or is it the mobility and freedom that having a car brings that is important? Can we find another way of getting that freedom?

My name is Lawrence Miller, I'm 21 and I'm studying statistics at the University of St Andrews. When I'm not studying I spend my time helping out with Woodcraft events, reading, camping, walking and generally geeking out.

I think that climate change is one of the most important issues of our generation but it also provides a challenge of proportions never seen before, a truly global problem. Those of us who live in the G8 countries should not only lead by example by lowering CO2 emissions but also develop technologies to help the rest of the world. Educating young people is key to making a real difference as we will be the ones making the decisions when the repercussions of the actions of the last generation are taking their toll on the world.

I would love to see the C-Change project alter the preconceptions that people have about having a green lifestyle and make them realise that their actions can have a real impact on the world.

Hi, I'm Nick! I'm at 6th Form, in Newcaste in the lovely north..

I'm really looking forward to all the events C-Change will be doing, and to meeting many other young people who care abour climate change!

This project is about showing that tackling climate change can, and should be, fun! We all have bad habits, but now is the time for good ones.

Hi I'm Nikki. I live in the sunny southwest. I love music, drama and going out with friends.

Why do I care about climate change? Because I believe that we can make a difference. With that understanding, I can't see why we shouldn't at least try. Fundamentally I don't know exactly what the consequences of a changing climate will be, I'm no scientist and I hear lots of mixed messages. What I do understand, is that the climate is changing, we can already see the evidence. I also understand, that something is wrong with how we are continually consuming resources - we cannot live on this planet at this rate of expansion. We need to put our energy use in check, we need to try to prevent a catastrophic climate change.

Climate Change is something that all young people should care about - it's our future we're talking about and I for one certainly want to live it! I don't want my children to look back and think what a mess we made of it all, especially since the goals we have to achieve and the changes we have to make are so reachable.

We have the opportunity to make a huge difference with C-Change and start defining our generation as the one that did something about it and didn't leave it for someone else.

I'm 15 and I live in Lewes, in East Sussex.

My main hobby is music. I’m in bands and play a few instruments. I also just tend to hang around with my mates and chat.

I am concerned about climate change as it is one of the biggest problems the world is going to face in the next century and for some reason every body just seems to ignore it. This is one of the reasons I want to try to raise awarness about the isues that clmate change will bring.

I think it is important that young people find out and do something about it because some people do know about climate change but they still don’t change their life styles. I want to see is people starting to change the way they act around climate change and changing how environmentally friendly they are.
