As the Earth heats up plants and animals are forced to try to adapt to their new habitats. But the climate is changing so quickly they’re not being given a chance.

The polar ice caps are melting. 10% of Artic ice at the North Pole has disappeared in recent decades. The depth of the ice above water has also shrunk by 40%. Habitats in these areas are decreasing rapidly, with cold weather mammals and birds like polar bears, seals, walruses and penguins suffering the worst.
By the 2070, large parts of northern Brazil and central southern Africa could lose their tropical forests because of reduced rainfall and increased temperatures
We need to make sure that the measures we take to tackle climate change do as little harm to the planet’s eco-systems as possible.
