THE SONG ON THE PAGE IS PLAYING SLOW, IF YOU WANNA HAVE A LISTEN HEAD OVER TO OUR MYSPACE (www.myspace.com/seeyouinreno).
We don’t claim, unlike the other half a million bands out there doing the same thing, to be original. So if we’re not original, what makes us better than any other band? The truth is, nothing. What makes any band better than another is down to personal choice, but what separates us from most, and gives us a style that we feel is our own, is the influences we pull from. You could probably quite easily slot us into a genre, but what drives that music is quite different to what drives most other bands. You don’t see Britney Spears with influences like Darkest Hour, and vice versa, and although this isn’t true with some bands, artists, and even people, everybody just needs to broaden their horizons, open their ears to what sounds good, look past the fact that it does or doesn’t have distortion, and you might just find something you like that you never thought you would. This is what we are about. Music that sounds good. That’s what influences us, and that’s what we hope we’re making. Ever gone out and bought a CD you thought would be brilliant and it turns out there are 3 good tunes and 10 album fillers? We want to make sure every single song is a tune, we want you to struggle to have a favourite, and most of all, we want as many people to hear our music as possible.
Because its our job. Young people don't care about politicians or the 6 o' clock news and what they have to say. They care about music. They're passionate about it, and so are we. Music is a way to get people to stand up and take notice. You don't have to write lyrics about the fact we're melting icebergs and force your views upon other people through your music, but you can support these causes just by putting your name to them. Just by playing a charity or awareness gig you can bring people together by a mutual love of music and bring to their attention, possibly something they've never thought or cared about before.
Music is never going to cure any diseases, but its a powerful tool for raising money and awareness to help.
