About the Band

The Advocates have been together for almost a year, gigging in and around East Anglia. The Advocate sound is made up of retro punk rhythms with a modern twist from influences such The Subways. Originally based around the jamming sessions of Nick Burrows (Lead Guitar)and Guy Smith (Bass guitar) in their uni accomodation it developed with the addition of Chaz (vocalist) and Adam (Drummer). The Advocates have produced a large number of songs with more recent tracks such as "What we did on Saturday" really developing the Advocate sound. The Advocates signature track and favourite of the fans "You're Fake" encompasses all the raw energy that is emitted at gigs along with the modern twist on the original punk genre.

Why we feel strongly about climate change

Climate change is not a issue that can be ignored for any longer. We feel particulary strongly about climate change awareness as it effects everyone of us, and with a little bit of effort from all a significant change can occur. As it is clearly easy to be oblivious to the damage we are causing to our environment a far greater deal of awareness is vital. Promoting this idea is highly important as gaining the co-operation of everyone is the only way we can secure that future generations can enjoy what we still have today.
