About the Band

SleeperCell started about a year and a half ago as a small group of friends in the pool house of Robs back yard. After a few line-up changes , SleeperCell stayed together as Barnaby (Vox), Rob (Drums) and Kyle (Guitar) and with the addition of Matt on the bass guitar completing the line-up.

Why we feel strongly about climate change

Climate change has been an obvious threat for many years. Unfortunately, due to the fact that we live in a capitolist society, few people are willing to take the necessary steps in order prevent this catasrophe. People have become so used to consuming products that they don't need, frequently taking advantage of cheap flights etc that they have become blind to the urgent issues that the world is facing.

Many government officials are only interested in re-election or economic growth. After all, a lot of them won't be in power for more than a couple of years so why bother to look ahead? The public won't like the changes that must be made so why should they risk their popularity to prevent something that isn't going to create major problems untill they're dead.

This attitude is common amoung politicians. That is why Sleeper Cell feels that it is up to our generation to take action against climate change! We may be young but together we can raise awareness of this problem with functions like C-Change and of course, cut down on carbon emissions by simply turning our computers off stand by or turning the heating down a degree or two in the winter.

If we maintain this attitude then perhaps one day we will be the ones to stop climate change!
